And just like that 2022 has come to an end! I can’t believe how fast 2022 went by! This last year was full of so many challenges, but also so much growth, new and exciting projects, and inspiration for what’s to come. This year I had the pleasure of serving over 120+ incredible, joyful clients. I had the honor of capturing the most beautiful smiles, laughs and moments that will forever be cherished. I am SO beyond grateful to have met all of 120+ of you AND to all my supporters for following along and being there for me every step of the way! Checkout the highlights and stats of 2022 below!

The Highlights

1. I hired an intern, Avery! She helped me with BTS at sessions, administrative tasks and all things social media. Avery was such a blessing to have on the team this summer & fall, she helped KAP grow so much and made everything extra fun!
2. My 72 high school seniors this year were just simply amazing. I had the best time getting to know each and everyone of them. Helping soon to be seniors kick off their senior year with a fun and confidence boosting senior session experience is so fulfilling. And chatting with them about their ups and downs, goals and dreams is an honor. Senior season wrapped up in early November and it has been so fun watching my seniors post their photos and start sharing their post-graduation plans including new careers, educations, and so many other exciting things. 3. My relationship with my editor that I hired last year has continued to grow. I seriously don’t know how I did it without her in years past! Janelle Joy Private Editing is by far one of the most valuable parts of my business.
4. I had the opportunity to photograph LMC‘s Fall/Winter Collection, such a fun, creative, and rewarding project to be a part of, along side an incredible group of women.
5. We launched KAP Merch! Including the classic white & pink ‘KAP’ Crewneck and the ‘create’ tee. Something I had been dreaming about for years!
6. I had another round of branding photos done by Sonya Kammes! This is something I SO enjoy doing each and every year! AND branding photos went perfectly with a full website update, coming soon 🙂
7. I enjoyed my time off! I had the opportunity to go to Europe this past spring for a few weeks, take a few other small trips and enjoy my days and weekends off. Owning a small business is my greatest challenge, especially when it comes to busy season and time off, so giving myself the permission to take time off from my 60+ hour work weeks is something I am so proud of myself for doing. This is the first year that I ended a season NOT feeling burnt out – that is my biggest accomplishment of the year.

While numbers aren’t everything to me, I enjoy reflecting on the year and everything that was accomplished!

• 120+ Clients Photographed including high school seniors, college grads, families, and couples, and a few new projects in there!
• 8,500+ photographs delivered (wow!)
• 10K views on one of my Reels! (This was so exciting!)
• 170+ Pins Posted and 5K monthly views established on Pinterest! (again, so proud of the consistency & growth here!)
• Hit 1,000 Followers on Instagram (proud of the consistency and growth!)

Goals for 2023

I will be taking the time over the next month to REST after an incredibly busy and successful 2022. But in early spring of 2023 I will be jumping into releasing all the exciting details for graduation, high school seniors and family sessions. I am looking forward to serving so many wonderful new clients in 2023. I am also excited to continuing growing the KAP team with another summer & fall intern and an associate senior photographer. I could go on and on with all the exciting things I have in mind for 2023, but I don’t want to give it all away!
